What is a Meet-n-Greet?
A Meet-n-Greet is a
weekly event that allows potential adopters to meet rescue Weims that are
available for adoption. It is also a great way to meet Mile High Weimaraner
Club members and MHWC Rescue volunteers.

FUN EVENT AND MEET N GREET
"Paws
and Claws" Runway Event

Come wag your tail to benefit Colorado's adoptable pets!
Paws & Claws will kick off at 11 a.m. with pet-adoption agencies,
pet-themed vendors, a Children's Art Contest and more. The feature event –
Runway Rescue – will begin at noon. The fashion show will pair adoptable
pets with models showcasing exciting fall fashions from Aspen Grove’s
retailers, strutting their stuff and wagging their tails down the runway.
Aspen Grove will host a variety of pet-themed activities including the Best
In Show Contest with prizes! Pooch-less humans, shoppers, families, animal
lovers and pets are all encouraged to come out and enjoy the event and
support these charities that bring so much joy to rescued animals and the
families they complete. There will be a Children's Art booth at the event.
Children can enter to win the Aspen Grove "My Friendly Dog" Art
Contest.

FUN RUN AND MEET N GREET
K9’s Against Cancer
Sunday September 12th

K9's Against Cancer
Event Website
Pull out your running shoes, shore up Fido’s collar and prepare your
dogs (human and canine) to run with our pack as dog lovers from Denver to
Boulder and all points in between gather to run in the K-9’s Against Cancer
5K Fun Run on Sunday, September 12th in Stapleton’s Central Park.
Proceeds from the 5K and One-mile Fun Run/Walk will equally benefit The
Denver Metropolitan Affiliate of the Susan G. Komen Foundation, Colorado
State University’s Animal Cancer Center and The Bow Wow Buddies Foundation
– organizations dedicated to helping find cures for human and canine
cancer. Kicks off at 9:00am with the start of the 5K race/walk followed by
the one-mile walk at 9:30am.

Gifts 4 Pets

Tagawa Gardens
Join MHWR at “Holiday Gifts For Pets and Their People”™ a fun, public,
pets-welcome event in which a variety of people and groups work together
for the benefit of animals in need in the Colorado area through hand-made
artisan/craft sales and animal related and themed activities. The event
celebrates and honors animals as our pets and our partners, as well as
provides a venue to raise funds for smaller, less-publicized Colorado
non-profit animal organizations that actively and positively support and
promote the well being of animals.

FUN

Rehabilitation and Conditioning Group)

This will be a FUN day! Dogs will be able to swim in the large
pool (with CRCG staff as lifeguards) while their people get to shop for
holiday gifts and services from the many vendors joining us. We will also have Photos with Santa –
both dry and soggy dogs are welcome!
