What is a Meet-n-Greet?
A Meet-n-Greet is an event that allows potential adopters to meet dogs available for adoption.
It is also a great way to meet Mile High Weimaraner Club members and their dogs as well as Weimaraner
Rescue volunteers. If you have a Weimaraner and want to have some play time with other Weims and chat
with Weim owners and adopters, the Meet-n-Greet is the perfect place to do that. We always seem to
draw attention. Everyone wants to know if we are having a party or why there are so many gray dogs
running around. The Meet-n-Greet also allows the rescue volunteers a chance to spread the word about
rescue and to educate people about the breed. So, Meet-n-Greets are not just for people looking to
adopt a Weimaraner - they are a way for Weim owners to get out and mingle with a group of people who
have the same interests - gray dogs! So, if you see a Meet-n-Greet scheduled at a dog park, bring your
dog down and get them some exercise and help spread the word about our Gray friends.

What are Our Fun Events?
Fun Events are Mile High Weimaraner Rescue sponsored events that are open to all Weimaraners and their families. These are events that Weimaraner owners and pet owners can enjoy with their family and pets.
|
What are Our Weimaraner Products?
They are great ways to help the Weims in need in Colorado and promote the breed and rescue. We currently
have a variety of products available for sale via CafePress.com. We have our 2007 Calendar, T-shirts,
sweatshirts, license plate frames, and many other items all with a variety of logos and events. A portion
of the sales go to help MHWR. By wearing these items, you help to promote rescue and get people to
think rescue first.
|
What are Our Fundraising Events?
They are great ways to help the Weims in need in Colorado. Local companies have offered to provide
funds to MHWR with sales of their products.

MEET-N-GREET: Join us to meet some Weims currently looking for their forever new homes in Louisville.
Saturday, July 26th at the Louisville (Community Park, Bella Vista Dr and County Rd)
Dog Park in Louisville from 11:00AM to 1:00 PM Saturday July 26th, 2008.
The following dogs are scheduled to be in attendance:
Check back soon for a list!
Location: 955 Bella Vista Drive. Directions: If you know Louisville, just go south on Main thru town and
it will dead end at the park. OR: From South Boulder Road and Highway 42, go south to Pine (less than a mile). Turn right (west)
on Pine Cross the railroad tracks and turn left just before you get into downtown onto Front Street (the downtown Louisville
Post Office is on the SW corner). Go about 2 tenths of a mile (the name of the road changes to County Rd) and you'll see a brand
new park on your right (the west side of County Rd and Bella Vista Dr). Turn right (west) on Bella Vista and then right (north)
into the park. You'll see the dog park on your right as you drive into the park.
There are benches and a covered area. Loads of grass and some neat boulders scattered here and there to sit on. The roof of
the covered area is a big metal dog -- check it out! -- doesn't provide much shade but it's so cute! There's a pond with reclaimed
household water. Signs say to make your own individual decision about allowing your dogs to use the pond. In other words, it may
not be the healthiest for your pet -- and giardia happens fast in water used by dogs. There is no drinking water for dogs/people in
the dog park, but since it's in the Community Park, there are drinking fountains close by -- and restrooms too.
