Kathleen Elizabeth Potthoff (Beth) February 13, 1970 – September 9, 2021 Beth Potthoff, beautiful wife, loving and devoted mother, blessed daughter, and wonderful friend to more than she knew, passed away in her sleep on September 9, 2021 at her home in Colorado. Beth‘s husband Herb, their son Ben, her mother Ellen and stepfather David, her father Mike and stepmother Patsy, her uncle Pete, and her brothers Chris and Matt, mourn her early departure from this earth. Urgent: Legislative alert in the state of Colorado

This proposed legislation, if enacted, will effectively prohibit artificial insemination. —————————— Volunteers may soon be seen throughout Colorado collecting signatures to put a measure on the November 2022 ballot that they will claim will protect animals in the state. The American Kennel Club joins many other animal welfare, livestock and animal husbandry groups in expressing grave concerns and opposition to the proposal. We urge all dog owners and breeders in the state to NOT sign these petitions should they begin to be circulated. Snake Avoidance Course

The Colorado Gun Dog Association’s Snake Avoidance Course will be held June 5th, 2021 The location will be on Hess Road just west of Heirloom Parkway.  The entrance will be well marked.  The training course will start at 8:00 am and continue until 4 p.m.  You may arrive any time within this window, after noon things usually go more efficiently with less wait. A quick run-down of club happenings : Specialty Show: We’ve requested the AKC move our 2021 specialty show date back to the original weekend which is Sept. 11, 2021 in conjunction with the Evergreen Kennel Club. Hunt Test: The club enjoyed another successful hunt test in partnership with the Rocky Mountain Vizsla Club. Many thanks to all club members who volunteered and ran their dogs.
